Obama BMW 760 LI

I spotted this luxury BMW 760 LI with the flashy chrome spinners and “Chicago Boyz” plate holder on Shirley Highway during rush hour, heading out of Washington DC to Virginia. I couldn’t help but wondering if the Chicago Boyz Obama driver of this Beamer is one of those new Obama Car Czars who do not own nor drive American cars, yet have been appointed to oversee the American Car Industry.

Police Protective Fund

June 1, 2009

WHY is “The Police Protective Fund” in Virginia phoning my cell phone? Are they phoning to make me aware that it is dangerous to use a cell phone while driving? Who knows, as when I attempt to return their calls, I get an answering machine that tells me to leave a message in their “full” mailbox.

This is the number they ring me from: 804 225-9092.

If this is another one of those police scams to get me to donate to their police union, I am NOT buying. I pay enough taxes to support my various police departments. In addition to paying their police salaries and benefits, why would I be stupid enough to pay their unions to lobby me, the taxpayer, for more pay and benefits. The automobile unions have already driven the car industry into the dirt. What next, police departments? Many of those who are phoned end up donating, as they assume the caller to be a local police officer and they feel intimidated.

This phone number has been reported to “Who Called US?,”where other victims of telephone harassment report that their identity is “the polprotect” and that they use the following numbers to harass the public they are supposed to serve and protect: 804-225-9092, 800-225-9092 and 217-483-9596.

The Police Protective Fund has a web site where they identify themselves as a part of Check out that Charity Navigator gives them a “ZERO” rating and lists the salaries of their leaders. Here is what the Better Business Bureau reports about the Police Protective Fund:

On July 24, 2007, the Missouri attorney general’s office filed a lawsuit in St. Louis Circuit Court against Police Protective Fund (PPF) to stop misleading and harassing calls from the organization. According to the Missouri attorney general’s office, telemarketers working for PPF have made numerous calls into Missouri, representing that donations will help the families of law enforcement officers who die in the line of duty through PPF’s $10,000 “Line of Duty Death Benefits” program” (

Don’t bother reporting them to the National Do Not Call Registry. They do not cover “charities, political organizations, and telephone surveyors.”Cute, eh? At least Montgomery County, Maryland has issued a warning to its citizens about this “police charity scam,” as they label them.

Paetec & Red Rock Communications

March 20, 2009

Who is  RYAN J. TAYLOR? He Harasses the Elderly Using Paetec Communications, INC of Clliffside, New Jersey and Red Rock Communications of South Dakota to make ROBOCALLS.

Day in and day out, continually, I am being harassed in Virginia on my home telephone by Paetec Communications, INC. of New Jersey. The telephone calls that interrupt my peace are recordings warning me that my automobile warranty is about to expire. Each caller ID shows a different telephone number so that even when I block the last number called, Paetec Communications, INC continues to get through with a brand new number.

Here are reports from others about this same last phone number that came to me: Who Called Us from (201) 917-7312?  “19 calls reported from this number. According to 8 reports the identity of this caller is Red Rock Communications.”

Red Rock Communications is a despicable company that sells phony caller ID names and numbers to telemarketers – usually scammers – so you cannot see who is really telephoning your private telephone. Their website is The software they provide to their telemarketers enables scammers to call repeatedly from the same telephone by automatically changing its identification (Caller ID). Even though you block Anonymous Calls, and also the number of the last harassment call from Paetec Communications, Inc., Red Rock Communications enables them to call you again, and again with a new Caller ID each time. I am receiving about ten calls a week. What a piece of SLIMEY work is this Ryan J. Taylor and his Red Rock Communications of South Dakota!

We Are Virginia Tech

April 20, 2007

TODAY …  WE ARE ALL VIRGINIA TECH. In the words of a poet:

“We are Virginia Tech.

We are sad today and we will be sad for quite awhile.

We are NOT moving on. We are embracing our mourning.

We are Virginia Tech.

We are strong enough to stand tall, tearlessly. We are brave enough to bend to cry and sad enough to know we must laugh again.

We are Virginia Tech.

We do NOT understand this tragedy. We know we did nothing to deserve it, but neither does a child in Africa dying of AIDS; neither do the invisible children walking the night away to avoid being captured by a rogue army; neither does the baby elephant watching his community be devastated for ivory; neither does the Mexican child looking for fresh water; neither does the Appalachian infant killed in the middle of the night in his crib, in the home his father built with his own hands, being run over by a boulder because the land was destabilized. No one deserves a tragedy.

We are Virginia Tech.

The Hokie Nation embraces our own and reaches out with open heart and hands to those who offer their hearts and minds. We are strong and brave and innocent and unafraid. We are better than we think and not quite what we want to be. We are alive to the imagination and the possibility we will continue to invent the future through our blood and tears, through all this sadness.

We are the Hokies.

We will prevail. We WILL prevail. WE WILL PREVAIL!

We ARE … Virginia Tech”. ~~Nikki Giovanni Speech transcribed by Edna Barney

Virginia Polytechnic Institute
Blacksburg, Virginia
2:36 P.M. EDT

THE PRESIDENT: Governor, thank you. President Steger, thank you very much. Students, and faculty, and staff, and grieving family members, and members of this really extraordinary place.

Laura and I have come to Blacksburg today with hearts full of sorrow. This is a day of mourning for the Virginia Tech community — and it is a day of sadness for our entire nation. We’ve come to express our sympathy. In this time of anguish, I hope you know that people all over this country are thinking about you, and asking God to provide comfort for all who have been affected.

Yesterday began like any other day. Students woke up, and they grabbed their backpacks and they headed for class. And soon the day took a dark turn, with students and faculty barricading themselves in classrooms and dormitories — confused, terrified, and deeply worried. By the end of the morning, it was the worst day of violence on a college campus in American history — and for many of you here today, it was the worst day of your lives.

It’s impossible to make sense of such violence and suffering. Those whose lives were taken did nothing to deserve their fate. They were simply in the wrong place at the wrong time. Now they’re gone — and they leave behind grieving families, and grieving classmates, and a grieving nation.

In such times as this, we look for sources of strength to sustain us. And in this moment of loss, you’re finding these sources everywhere around you. These sources of strength are in this community, this college community. You have a compassionate and resilient community here at Virginia Tech. Even as yesterday’s events were still unfolding, members of this community found each other; you came together in dorm rooms and dining halls and on blogs. One recent graduate wrote this: “I don’t know most of you guys, but we’re all Hokies, which means we’re family. To all of you who are okay, I’m happy for that. For those of you who are in pain or have lost someone close to you, I’m sure you can call on anyone of us and have help any time you need it.”

These sources of strength are with your loved ones. For many of you, your first instinct was to call home and let your moms and dads know that you were okay. Others took on the terrible duty of calling the relatives of a classmate or a colleague who had been wounded or lost. I know many of you feel awfully far away from people you lean on and people you count on during difficult times. But as a dad, I can assure you, a parent’s love is never far from their child’s heart. And as you draw closer to your own families in the coming days, I ask you to reach out to those who ache for sons and daughters who will never come home.

These sources of strength are also in the faith that sustains so many of us. Across the town of Blacksburg and in towns all across America, houses of worship from every faith have opened their doors and have lifted you up in prayer. People who have never met you are praying for you; they’re praying for your friends who have fallen and who are injured. There’s a power in these prayers, real power. In times like this, we can find comfort in the grace and guidance of a loving God. As the Scriptures tell us, “Don’t be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.”

And on this terrible day of mourning, it’s hard to imagine that a time will come when life at Virginia Tech will return to normal. But such a day will come. And when it does, you will always remember the friends and teachers who were lost yesterday, and the time you shared with them, and the lives they hoped to lead. May God bless you. May God bless and keep the souls of the lost. And may His love touch all those who suffer and grieve.

Captain Potty Mouth

October 27, 2006

Has Crashed and Burned? That is what “American Daughter” is writing about James Webb’s campaign for the U.S. Senate.

Those steamy novels that the former Republican wrote during the long hazy summer days of Virginia, have come back to bite him. One wonders how well the Democrats vetted their candidate, as Virginians are a culturally conservative people who just do not cotton to incest, pedophilia, and titillating porn in the writings of their elected officials. This is a ‘family values’ state; James Webb is probably toast.

American Daughter asks about the two major supporters of James Webb’s campaign, John Kerry and former Virginia Governor Mark Warner:

  • Did they have such poor judgment that they believed they could palm such a foul-minded candidate off on Virginia?
  • How careless would either one be if elected President in vetting potential cabinet members and support staff?

Virginia Republicans are rejoicing and Virginia’s anti-war Democrats seem destined for the dust bin of history, if for no other reason than that they wasted the efforts and resources of their volunteers and contributors on a candidate who never really stood a chance with Virginia’s voters.

And just yesterday, Kerfuffles shockingly blogged about Captain Underpants. Comes today, and we are really shocked, shocked by our own would be Senator Webb.
