Peggy Joseph Was Right!

In America, everyone with a brain laughed at Peggy Joseph during the past presidential campaign when she explained her joy at Obama’s promises. Now we have new respect for Ms. Peggy, as she indeed knew what was coming when she exclaimed “Obama is Going to Pay For My Gas and Mortgage!” Ms. Peggy must really be jumping with joy now at the President’s latest “Stimulus and Recovery Act.” Peggy Joseph was right.

Magic of the Marketplace

The Magic of the Marketplace Exists No More. The dream of Ronald Reagan is dead. We now live in the nightmare of Democrat rule, where little kings and godlings play legos with “We the People.”

Yesterday I pondered Ronald Reagan’s words “magic of the marketplace.” I asked how and why did our Magical Marketplace become a den of liars, crooks and thieves? Today, reading “The Anchoress,” I find my question answered. I find that it is “We the People” who have destroyed the Magic Marketplace by electing and reelecting liars, crooks and cheats to Washington to oversee “We the People’s” Magic Marketplace and prevent it from becoming infested and run by liars, crooks and criminals.

“The Anchoress” reminds me of our new president, Barack “just words” Obama, who speaks of American dreams as he tries his level best to limit them. She reminds me of Representative Barney Frank now telling free Americans how their salaries should be limited, yet when his “good friend,” the corporate executive, was driving Fannie Mae into the ground, only the sky was the limit for him. I am reminded of rich Senator John Kerry worrying that Americans are too “free to invest their money where ever they want,” at the same time he and those in power have rewarded those who brought down Wall Street with overseer positions in the new government. (Yes, I know, Bush did the same thing.) And then there is the “Senior Senator” from New York, Chuck Schumer, displaying his contempt for the voters for asking how much pork spending is in the bill that their grandchildren are expected to pay off.

The Anchoress describes the leaders “We the People” have chosen to lead us as “Corrupt and singular, many of these little kings and godlings serve themselves, alone, and merely play Legos with the rest of us.” AMEN!

Where do any of these “public servants” – who have either grown wealthy on the public purse or used their wealth to purchase of their office, or have used their office to protect their wealth – get off telling can-do Americans how much they can earn? How dare they begin to dismantle The American Dream, or to discourage the sort of dreaming that made America an exceptional nation of limitless possibility? How dare they – who aspire not to serve but to rule, create destructive, “historic and transformational” 1200-page bills behind closed doors and show them to lobbyists before they show them to legislators or the American public they are supposed to be “serving.”

These majority Democrats seem bent on having Americans labor only for the federal collective, and not for themselves. The already-have’s don’t much care about about anyone else’s dreams.

Now we read that Bill Clinton, desperate for some attention, is joining in on the cheap “end free speech as we know it” campaign that is distinctly the province of the left – the “tolerant” people who would censor a different point of view. They’ll try to regulate free speech on the internet, soon enough.

No good will come of any of this, and we have no free press, questioning anything.

America has long-attracted dreamers who understood that here there was an abundance of freedom and opportunity, and plenty of room to dream.

Our currently “leadership” want to apportion dreams, and make sure no one is dreaming too much. They – our betters – will do our dreaming for us. They can only handle one dream at a time, though, and right now that dream is socialism and silence, of a decidedly rigid and totalitarian bent.

Once There Was Ronald Reagan

Ronald Reagan was the progeny that the Founding Fathers of America hoped for when they created, with their own blood, sweat and tears, our United States of America.

Ancient History makes interesting reading, but – Ronald Reagan is still dead. His progeny – those who went to Congress and the Presidency on his coattails, betrayed his legacy by behaving as god-awful as Democrats. Where are the “we who live in free market societies” today? I cannot think of any.

Where are the progeny of John Adams and the Founders? Where is John Adams? I hear that Mr. Adams is now repenting in Heaven of his earthly deeds.

Remember the USS Cole?

No? Well, you are not alone. The bombing of the USS Cole was a part of “The Clinton Legacy.”

The Clinton Legacy included the killings of dozens of American children by their government at Waco, the 2002 World Trade Center Attack, the Oklahoma City Bombing, the Khobar Towers Bombing, the Embassy Bombings in Kenya and Tanzania, and Al Qaeda Attacks on the American warship USS Cole. 

• February 26th 1993 – Terrorism first came to America with the first bombing of the World Trade Center. President Clinton treated it as a “criminal act” instead of an act of war.
• 17 April 1995 – The Oklahoma City bombing seemed to have had a middle-eastern terrorist connection, which the government did not pursue. Instead, they arrested, prosecuted and promptly executed Timothy McVeigh.
• The next year saw the Khobar Towers bombing in Saudi Arabia where 19 innocent Americans were murdered.
• In 1998, U.S. Embassies in Kenya and Tanzania were bombed by terrorists.
• In October 2000, Al Qaeda struck America again, attacking an American warship, the USS Cole, while docked in Yemen. Fifteen American sailors were killed in a Yemen port and the ship seriously damaged. The Clinton government did not consider it an act of war and did nothing in response. Two months later, in December of 2000, the Central Intelligence Agency was within 24 hours of apprehending Bin Laden. Clinton pulled them off the trail when the American Ambassador to Yemen complained that the investigation was causing trouble for US/Yemen relations. The CIA was pulled out of Yemen, and Osama Bin Laden got away.

Tax Paying Chumps

Why Do Democrats Love High Taxes? Because Democrats Don’t Pay Taxes! Only chumps pay taxes, and Democrats are NOT chumps. Only Republicans are.

If ALL of us decide to follow the lead of President Obama’s cabinet secretaries and not bother paying our taxes this year, who will the IRS go after first? Will IRS go after those of us “little people” who owe $5000 or less, or will tax collectors set their sights on the $35,000 to $135,000 guys – like Obama’s Secretary of the Treasury? Mr. Secretary Timothy Geithner not only did not pay federal self-employment tax for which he was reimbursed in advance, but he took a “child care” deduction for an exclusive summer camp for his children. Why cannot you do that too, even if you are not the Secretary of Treasury in charge of the IRS?

If, following the lead of our government’s leaders, we peons all decide not to pay our taxes this year, will the IRS go after all of us? Is there a jail or prison large enough in the United States to contain all of us? It is up to you to find what is your Representatives’ stance on taxes. The media will never investigate to tell you as they are not interested in asking probing questions of Democrats. Ask your own United States Representatives if they pay all of their taxes or do they pay only what they want, like former Democrat Senate Leader Tom Daschle. Ask your Representatives in Congress why you should pay taxes when a Senator and the Secretary of the Treasury are not required to do so. Ask your own Representatives if they, themselves, pay their taxes, or do they leave that up to some low level employee who may or may not be on maternity leave.
